Detailing & BIM 

Before a single piece of steel is measured, cut, drilled, ground, or welded, it must be illustrated on a shop drawing.  Shop drawings are submitted for approval and must be approved prior to any fabrication work beginning.  Similarly, before a single column or beam can be installed, it must be illustrated with an erection drawing that has been approved.  In today’s world of technology, submittals have evolved to be incorporated with building modeling systems.  Our detailing department uses Tekla to generate or modify these interactive models.
